Volunteers make a huge contribution to the work, support our vulnerable community with dogs, and promote kindness / alleviate the suffering of animals.

We have a range of volunteering roles, and it’s a great way to meet likeminded people who share the same enthusiasm for dogs.

  • What will I gain?
  • Gaining new skills or developing new ones
  • Chance to try something new
  • Doing something useful and rewarding
  • Gaining a sense of achievement

Most people can volunteer with DOTS. Before you join, you will be asked to complete a volunteer application form, Unfortunately, due to Insurance, there is a restriction on age, so you must be over 18 – however under 18 can help with their own fundraising ideas.
